Shane and Jimmy start this one off, and Shane controls the opening moments. Miz and Shane hug Miz’s dad at ringside before the match. The Usos: The Miz comes out to the ring in a “Cleveland is Awesome” shirt and gets a good ovation from his hometown crowd. – Coachman thanks us for joining him on the Kickoff Show, and now it’s time for Fastlane. The New Day hits the Up Up Down Down on Rusev for the three count. Big E takes out Nakamura at ringside, then Rusev misses a shot in the corner and Big E tags in. Woods dumps Rusev and Nakamura out to ringside, and the nhe goes for a suicide dive, but Rusev and Nakamura catch him and powerbomb Woods on the ringside floor. Nakamura kicks Big E in the face, then Rusev tags in and boots Big E in the face and pin, but Xavier breaks up the pin attempt. They go for another double team, but Lana gets involved and knocks down Woods when the ref isn’t looking. Big E gets the tag, and he hits a double team suplex-backbreaker on Nakamura. Nakamura tags in for a double team suplex, and then Nakamura knees him in the face for a two count. ![]() Woods tries to mount a comeback, but Rusev shuts him down with a version of the Alabama Slam for a two count. When the dust settles, Rusev kicks Woods in the head for a two count. ![]() Rusev and Woods tag in, and all four men are in the ring now. Nakamura hits a flying knee to the face of Big E off the middle rope. Big E looks for a spear, but Nakamura blocks it with a knee to the face, and he follows up with kicks. Big E hits a running splash on Nakamura, then he tosses Nakamura out to the apron. Big E gets the hot tag and hits a series of belly to belly suplexes on Nakamura. Nakmura and Rusev control the pace in this one early on as they trade tags and take turns beating on Woods. Shane McMahon comes over and high-fives Miz. Shinsuke Nakamura & Rusev: Early on in the match, we cut to the backstage area where we see The Miz and his father talking about Miz’s match tonight. An assistant comes over and pulls aside Kofi, and tells him the McMahons want to see Kofi in their office right now, and it’s about the WWE Championship match. Owens and Kofi shake hands and Owens wishes them luck on their tag match, coming up next. Kofi tells Owens he has no problem with him, and wishes Owens good luck. Owens says Kofi deserves the opportunity at the WWE Championship, but Owens can’t turn down that opportunity either. Others matches announced so far are Bayley and Sasha Banks Vs Nia Jax and Tamina for WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship, The Usos Vs Shane McMahon and The Miz for Smackdown Tag Team championship, Asuka Vs Mandy Rose for SmackDown Women’s championship. However, suddenly Vince McMahon announced the returning Kevin Ownes as the new opponent and out Kofi from the match. Kofi Kingston was the original opponent for Daniel Bryan at Fastlane for the WWE championship. This year’s pay-per-view had many twists and turns. One of the reasons is it lies between two of WWE’s top pay-per-views Royal Rumble and WrestleMania. Fastlane pay-per-view is always considered as one of the most lack-luster pay-per-view. WWE had not announced all matches for the show. It is the last PPV before the biggest show of the year WrestleMania 35. WWE Fastlane 2019 is an annual pay-per-view on the road to WrestleMania.
